4 Nights in a 3-star hotel in Chendhu

A free day to wander around Chengdu, familiarising yourselves with the city, the local sights, and the local cuisine.

Day 2, join your 9 hour Giant Panda Base & City Tour with Lunch.

Spend a day discovering the cuddly wonder of the giant pandas at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, a foremost centre for the study and protection of giant pandas. Take a taxi from your Chengdu hotel and travel to the giant panda research centre, the home to nearly 50 giant and red pandas. Spot the pandas during their morning feeding time, and watch pandas of all ages eat, play, and prove themselves to be the Chinese national treasures that they are. Afterward, taxi back to the city

Day 3 Take the fast train from Chengdu East Station to Leshan to see the Leshan Giant Buddha, a UNESCO world heritage site. This tour leads you to marvel at the giant Maitreya statue with its incredible techniques and craftsmanship of the early Tang dynasty.

You will see the Buddha’s head in line with the mountain top, while its feet dip into the water at the base, where the confluence where Min River, Qingyi River and Dadu River meet. In A.D. 713, the Buddha commenced construction. The whole giant Buddha is 71 meters high with the head 14.7 meters high and 10 meters wide.

During the journey you will also pay a visit to Lingyun Temple, a Buddhist temple originally built in Tang dynasty. It bears invaluable meaning for Chinese Buddhist culture, with many literati and poets praising it in their poems or articles. 

After the day in Leshan, take the High speed train back to Changdu

Day 4 Train toXi’an. Taking a high speed train is one of the best ways to travel between Chengdu and Xian. It is clean, comfortable,modern and cheap! It is fast, running at speeds of 250 to 300 km/h and wil take about 4 1/2 hours

Upon arrival in Xian North Station, we will be met and transferred to your accommodation by private car to your 3 star accommodation for 4 nights in Xian.

Day 5 you will join your 3 1/2 hour Walls and Stalls tour. Food and history pair perfectly in this Xi’an tour that not only has you eating your way through the best street food stalls for breakfast, but also exploring the ancient wall that encircles the old city — one of the oldest and best preserved city walls in China.

Day 6 Terracotta Warriors Discovery” Tour.

Learnabout one of the most famous sites in China with a visit to the TerracottaWarriors! These striking sculptures are a must for anyone coming to Xi’an, andyou’ll have a local guide by your side to explain their history to you. Afterexploring the museum, grab a tasty lunch of noodles at a local shop.

  • Visit the spectacular, world-famous     site of the Terracotta Warriors
  • Learn the history of the Warriors     and find out what other sightseeing highlights you should check out in     Xi’an
  • Get a mini lesson in the local     language as your guide teaches you a few basic phrases to help you during     your trip
